Kevin Pietersen calls André Villas-Boas a ‘muppet’

• England cricketer attacks Chelsea manager on Twitter
• ‘Who is the muppet coaching Chelsea???’ he asks

Kevin Pietersen has launched an attack on André Villas-Boas, the manager of Chelsea, branding him a “muppet”.

Writing on his Twitter site, the England batsman lambasted the Portuguese coach, saying: “Who is the muppet coaching Chelsea??? AVB??? Hmmm!! 25yrs for Ferguson, hopefully not even 6 months for this AVB geezer!!”

While Sir Alex Ferguson celebrates a quarter-century at Manchester United, Villas-Boas’s team have lost their last two Premier League games and dropped out of the top three.

This is not the first time that Pietersen, a Chelsea fan, has used Twitter to give his followers the benefit of his views on the west London club. Earlier this year he “revealed” that Kaka was about to join the Blues on the basis of having sat at a table near him at a restaurant.

Pietersen knows all about short reigns. He didn’t even last six months as England captain.
