John Terry and Frank Lampard set to play for Chelsea against West Ham

• Chelsea captain and vice-captain nearing fitness
• Carlo Ancelotti hopeful both will face Hammers

John Terry and Frank Lampard could both be fit for Chelsea’s Premier League match against West Ham United this weekend.

Both the Chelsea captain, Terry, and the vice-captain, Lampard, have been ruled out of England’s Euro 2012 qualifiers against Bulgaria and Switzerland through injury, but the Chelsea manager, Carlo Ancelotti, has hinted that they could be fit enough to play against the Hammers.

Terry is struggling with a hamstring problem while Lampard has undergone surgery on a groin injury.

“Lampard had surgery and I think that he will start to train this week,” said Ancelotti. “I don’t know when but we will see how he trains and we will take a decision for the game against West Ham.

“Terry didn’t have surgery but he used the last week to improve his hamstring. He will start to train with the squad this week and I think he will be able to play against West Ham.”
