Roberto Mancini has said that Carlos Tevez will return to England in time to play in Manchester City’s clash with Chelsea on Saturday.

The coach said: “I spoke with him yesterday and he will come back on Thursday or Friday morning.

“It’s important that he come back to play against Chelsea. He has had a serious problem but he says he will be able to get a flight.”

The Argentina international returned to his homeland after his wife gave birth prematurely, although she is now out of hospital.
